This textured palette knife painting is handmade and original, and depicts a cloudy afternoon at Minnesota’s North Shore. The trees are ready to change color, the days are getting shorter, and there’s a slight chill in the air. That’s what I see. What do you see?
MATERIALS
I used acrylic paint, gesso, and a palette knife to complete this painting. I sealed the piece with a UV-protective varnish to prevent it from fading, and yellowing, and to add shine.
The canvas is premier-professional quality, and the back is a splined finish instead of back-stapled. The wooden structure was kiln-dried to prevent warping, and you can feel the quality by the weight. I finished the edges so that framing is not necessary, but welcome. The back has wire installed, it has my gallery label, and it signed.

The painting is wrapped in glassine paper and kraft paper with a ribbon and gallery label.
