“Winter Bouquet” is a special painting since it was painted intuitively and Live at the Minneapolis Home and Garden Show in 2026. This painting has the darkness and the blues of winter, but there is a pop of hopeful colors in the flowers. I really like that. Because there’s hope in the darkness.
MATERIALS
I used acrylic paint, an airbrush medium, and I sealed the painting with a protective varnish to prevent yellowing, and to add an elegant satin finish.
The canvas is premier-professional quality meaning it's made with kiln-treated wood and a thicker cotton canvas. The back of the canvas is a splined finish instead of back-stapled.
The edges are sleek and fresh, covered in paint from the front, so that framing is not necessary. The back has wire installed, it has my gallery label, and it signed.
