This is a vibrant acrylic impressionist painting of flowers in a field, created on a premier cotton canvas. I call this piece “You Will Bloom Again,” because it represents a fresh start. Painted during heartache after ending a life-chapter, this piece was born on an artists retreat in southern Minnesota. It was springtime, but nothing had bloomed yet. The desire for summer colors was what inspired the palette. I made it as bright and cheerful as possible. I hope that you enjoy the result.
MATERIALS
I used acrylic paint, airbrush medium, gesso, and I sealed the painting with a UV-protective satin varnish to prevent it from fading.
The canvas is premier-quality, meaning the canvas is heavier, more durable, and it is made with kiln-baked wood to help prevent warpage. The back is a clean splined finish instead of back-stapled. I painted the edges paynes grey (almost black) so that framing is optional. The back has wire installed, it has my gallery label, and it is autographed both on the front and the back.
